A spoofed number is a manipulated phone number that scammers and telemarketers use to deceive people. They alter the caller ID to make it appear as though the call is coming from a different number. This can be achieved by routing the call through a different phone number or by using a modified caller ID. Spoofed numbers are often associated with the use of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, which enable callers to make calls over the internet. It's a tactic employed by scammers and telemarketers to conceal their true identity and increase the likelihood of call recipients answering their calls.
A toll-free number is a phone number that allows callers to make free calls to the owner of the number. The cost of the call is instead paid for by the owner of the toll-free number, usually as part of a service agreement with their phone carrier.
The Do-Not-Call (DNC) list is a registry of phone numbers maintained by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that allows consumers to opt-out of receiving telemarketing calls. Once a phone number is added to the DNC list, telemarketers are prohibited from calling that number unless the consumer has given prior consent or has an existing business relationship with the caller.

Like the previous comments, I also got the exact same greeting today Good morning! Is this (name)?"
They said " Good morning! Is this (name)?" and it was a red flag for me. Didn't respond.
Text message said. "Good morning. Is this (my name)?". Instant red flag goes up when a random number send a text and doesn't identify who they are while asking for personal information from me
