Received unwanted call from 888-286-5462 ?

Received an email from [email protected] stating they debited my Zelle acct for 350.00 for McAfee Total Security which I never ordered

We got an email stating a charge had been made to our credit card for $ 399.98 for a three year subscription. It looked fishy, but it had our name, address and phone number, so was concerning. We called the number and were told that it was for a McAfee subscription and that they would need to call us back tomorrow to refund the amount and to take it off of our computer. I told them we didn't have McAfee and am quite capable of removing the software if we had it. They said that wasn't acceptable and would need to remotely have access to our computer. We hung up and called McAfee, who assured us it was a scam.

For two months now, I get a phone call from a local number and receive a recorded message to call this number. They ask for someone by the same name as my Dad's ex-wife, whom I haven't seen or heard from in about 15 years. The only thing I have in common with the person they are asking about is the last name; which I'm fairly certain isn't even his ex-wife's last name anymore - and was not my last name when I knew this person, as I have only recently began using my maiden name. When I called the number and explained that I am not this person, and that I haven't known anyone by this name in 15 years, they told me that I was listed a contact number for the person. I don't know how that is even possible, since my number has changed at least 10 times since I last saw this person. I am very confused about how they associate my phone number with this person's name. I have asked several times to be removed from any association with this person and put on their "Do Not Call List"; which usually works for a couple of weeks, and then they start calling again.

They've been calling me for the past month & it's getting ridiculous! The original call is from 313-214-2018. They leave a message to call the 888-286-5462. I know this is a HUGE scam and it seems illegal for them to be able to harass you like this. They are phone bullies

These people need to be traced to their original location and the police should ARREST ALL of them and put them in jail for the rest of their life... a BUNCH of CROOKS... 26th July 2016.... WE got bunch of these calls showing a local number... i do have it blocked now... if you want to stop these CROOKS... then go to EBAY and buy a.. CALL BLOCKER that hooks up to your phone. then you can save the incoming number in a BLACK LIST... then next time they call your phone will ring ONCE.... then immediately hang up.. ! it will cost you around... $60... but it will be the best investment you will ever make... Multiple times in a day, I've had message from caller id showing "toll free number" that says something to the effect of: please note your claim number: 544773. Press 0 to speak with a representative or call 888-286-5462." Or, the message leaves the same claim number of 544773 but instead asks that I call 888-742-0615.

Iowa number comes up on my job's caller ID as 563-265-8473 but leaves the contact number 888-286-5462. I called them back and got the same blurb as everyone else - an alleged payday loan made on a date that does not fit any information I have. Told them I would not make a payment arrangement until validation of loan was sent to me in writing. They said they couldn't do that until the payment arrangement was made. Explained no arrangement for payment would be made without validation of debt. They said they would forward it for pursuing by their legal department. If they can't provide any documentation to me, how are they going to prove any debt to the courts?

Calls every 20 minutes. I blocked the number. I keep getting several messages which are all blocked. Think these idiots would get the point that they are barking up the wrong tree

THIS # CALLS AT LEAST 6 TIMES A DAY CALLED IT BACK SAID I OWED FOR A LOAN BACK IN 2010 IT IS BULL I HAVE NO LOANS AND HAVE NONE IN OVER 6 YEARS THE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTIST WHEN I TALKED TO LAWYER HE ALSO INFORMED ME THAT ANY LOANS OR DEBTS OVER 4 YEARS OLD IN CALIFORNIA IS UN COLLECTABLE ANY WAY , ALSO SAID IF THEY CONTINUE TO CALL TURN THEIR NAME AND NUMBER IN TO THE POLICE SAID AS FAR AS LEGAL RECORDS , THEY CAN TYPE THESE UP AND PUT ANY THING ON THEM IF U HAVE TO BLOCK THEIR #

THESE SCAMMERS NEED TO BE STOPPED IMMEDIATELY!! The attorney general's office needs to make these people their top priority. They are leaving personal and private information on work, home and family members answering machines. This is totally illegal. They never send any information to you in the mail to verify the FALSE DEBT!! Please everyone getting these calls lets keep reporting to the ATTorney General's office until these theives are caught and thrown in PRISON!! Don't steal from the AMERICAN people!! Hahaha!!! I've been getting MULTIPLE calls from a local number for over a week. They only leave a claim number and that 888 number to call back. I finally called back today. I asked the name of the company and the operator said, "Global" something something. And then she said, "Are you Delicious Perry?" After a few seconds of shocked silence, I kind of laughed and said, "Am I what?!?" And she asked again, "Are you Delicious Perry?" And I said, "Hahaha! NOOOO!!!" She said, "Okay. Have a nice day." And I'm just sitting here thinking how glad I am that I put on the "Do Not Disturb" feature on my phone since I work late nights. These jokers would've woken me soooo many times!

These people are calling me as well as family members looking for me claiming I have a claim filed against me. The also are calling from a local number leaving the 888 286 5462 number for me to call back. Big scam

I called them today and harassed them they didn't like it one bit, I had to curse out like 5 different ppl they was so mad they hung up on me. The last person I talked to blocked me so I couldn't call back...lol. I told him it was scam and he stated laughing. I told them I never seen such unprofessional ppl

Called my parents house, I haven't lived there since high school saying that they had a claim in there office not an attempt to collect a debt. When I called back they had my name but didn't clearly say what the debt is. They called my Dad number over 14 times in one day

Received a call from this company, even members of my family have been receiving calls from them! They are rude and threatening over the phone! They stated to me that there are 2 charges for fraud against me for an unpaid debt! Yet, they would not tell me the company that I supposedly owed this debt too. They stated my debt owed was 690.00 from 11/2011 and to date has accrued interest.....I now owe 2690.00! If I don't come up with an arrangement to pay this debt I would be brought up on fraudulent charges and prosecuted! THIS IS A SCAM! I DON'T OWE ANYTHING AND EVEN CHECKED MY CREDIT REPORT WHICH STATES NOTHING ON THIS MATTER! I TOLD THEM IM TAKING THIS MATTER TO AN ATTORNEY AND CALLING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IF THEY DON'T STOP HARASSING ME AND MY FAMILY MEMBERS! HOW EMBARASSING TO HAVE YOUR FAMILY AND PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINOUSLY CALLED REGARDING SOMETHING LIKE THIS! IGNORE AND THREATEN BACK! THEY WILL EVENTUALLY LEAVE YOU ALONE!

They continue to call me over and over and over and ask for another person. I told them I am not who they are looking for and to stop calling me. They then tell me its my concern as this person listed me as a reference. Well I NEVER co-signed for ANYONE and asked them to stop harassing me at work. They won't tell me who they even work for. I have ended up blocking both #'s. So if you get a call from 303-872-9587 or 888/286/5462 - its these clowns.
